This is not your everyday musical. The "musical based on a movie" conveys the story of a fictitious production’s quest to cast an actor for the perfect role…except she dies (spoiler alert). The tongue-and-cheek parody pushes the envelope with its eyebrow-raising, morose themes superimposed on toe-tapping musical ditties.
Muse Theatre Company, a rising D.C. performing arts collaborative, desired a design that depicted the playful tango between the morbid mystique and humor of the content awaiting the audience.
Pieces include a poster, postcard, apparel, as well as other digital ads. Featured in the 2013 Washington D.C. Capital Fringe Festival.
