Penn Museum
From the ruins of ancient Chinese history.
Rise up, lotus.
The Chinese Rotunda Gallery at the Penn Museum features irreplaceable relics and artifacts from centuries past. Inspired by the symbolic lotus frequently incorporated in traditional Buddhist art, I crafted a graphic element for the network of permanent museum plaques and panels on display throughout the world-renowned exhibit. The panels also drew from the vibrant blue backdrop encompassing the cavernous space, visually unifying the artistic pieces with their host environment.
Plaques were designed, printed and installed in-house at the Penn Museum.
